First Blog Post and a couple of Cards

Hi all,

So I finally am writing my first blog post.  I decided to start this blog two years ago but I haven’t been ready until now.  The stamping/crafting community is full of amazing people who are generous with their art and with their encouragement to others and I want to be a part of that community.  So for my first post I am showing some cards I made a while back.

My first card was stamped on Nina Desert Storm using ink on 3 fade out ink and fruit stamps from Anna Griffin.  I then colored the images using my Prismacolor Pencils.

My second card was also stamped onto Nina Desert Storm with Ink on 3 fade out ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils for a no line look.  I used Hero Arts Autumn Bounty stamp set.

My next card features stamps from the Hero Arts September 2018 card kit and I stamped and colored the images the same way as on the two previous cards with Nina Desert Storm Cardstock, Ink on 3 fade out ink, and I used my Prismacolor pencils. I sponged some Picked Raspberry Oxide Distress Ink on the card base and scribbled in some gray copic marker underneath the vase.

My next two cards were made using Create a Smiles Aloha Spirit stamp set.  On the one on the left I used MFT’s Modern Mosaic background stamp with white embossing powder and the larger flower from the Aloha stamp set and them colored them using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  The card on the right I stamped the bouquet using masks to stamp each flower a couple of times.  I masked the bouquet and then sponged distress inks on the background. I then removed the masks and colored the images with my copic markers.

The last card I will show today is using Altenew’s Perfectly Perfect stamp set and I used masking to stamp some of the images multiple times.  I again, I’m seeing a theme here, stamped the images on Nina Desert Storm, used Ink on 3’s fade out ink and colored the images using my Prismacolor pencils.  I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies to create a frame then I popped the outside portion up with dimensional foam tape.

I made these cards quite a while ago and because I wasn’t blogging I was not keeping track of the exact colors I was using and I won’t be adding links just yet.  I will be playing around with my photos and generally learning how to blog.  I hope you enjoyed my cards and I will be posting more previously made cards soon. Thanks for stopping by!
